Care Home Visitor Role Launched!

The new role will help someone who has lost their liberty speak up.

Care Home Visitors will support our Relevant Person Representative (RPR) advocates.

The role of the paid RPR is performed in the absence of friends or family. To ensure that the person living a the care/residential home, who lacks capacity to make decisions about their care or treatment, is cared for in the least restrictive way possible.

RPR Advocates visit the cared-for person regularly and ensure that they are being well looked after. A Care Home Visitor would work alongside the RPR Advocate to support the Advocate’s work.

“We are really excited about being able to offer more volunteering opportunities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Our volunteers ensure that we are able to help even more people have a voice, know their rights and make positive changes in their lives. Our volunteers are an integral part of our advocacy team.”

Sarah Iveson – Service Manager Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Total Voice
